Welcome to the official Astristech Graphic Design Blog. I just set this up a few minutes ago and am totally lost. I’ve done blogs before through other sites, but this one seems a little complicated. When they start talking about CSS, I get blue hair. Programming isn’t one of my strong suits. I set up this blog to maintain a presence on the web outside of the Deviantart account I have which showcases the work of Astristech. The first and most extensive project going on right now is the design of the USS Patton. Currently, the orthographic views are done, along with the longitudinal sections along the centerline of the ship. All in all, this has taken about 6 months to complete. The next step is a big one which is to design the deck plans for the ship. I suspect this will take quite a bit of time considering there are well over 50 decks. The silver lining to it all is that the decks are not that large, with the exception of the saucer section, but even those decks won’t have a lot contained within them since the saucer mainly houses a large shuttle/fighter bay…in essence, lot’s of open space.

Anywho, the work is never done, with my normal day job, supporting a family and my side hobby of aircraft piloting taking up the rest of my time, I do try to fit in the work on the Patton as much as possible.
